Wild Church

Worship Outside the Walls

Wild Church is a monthly, all-ages gathering that invites us to step outside—literally—and into sacred connection with Creation. Through prayer, reflection, and shared presence in nature, we rediscover our place in the web of life and open ourselves to spiritual transformation.

We meet on the third Sunday afternoon of each month, gathering in local parks like Paul Kane and Victoria. Each time, we explore a different theme—gratitude, change, letting go—while listening for what the natural world and the Spirit are teaching us. It’s worship rooted in relationship, curiosity, and care for the Earth.

If you haven’t yet joined us, consider this your invitation. Nature is calling you into the sacred.

How Wild Church Began

Wild Church emerged from the vision of our Environmental Stewardship Team, inspired by Victoria Loorz’s book Church of the Wild. Together, we explored how spiritual formation can be enriched by personal, prayerful engagement with the natural world—just as countless biblical figures sought God in the wilderness.

Rooted in the idea of “connection over comfort,” Wild Church invites us to worship in all seasons and weather, to recognize all of Creation as kin, and to listen deeply to the land as part of our faith practice. Through this intentional form of outdoor worship, we’re learning to care for the Earth not just as stewards—but as beloved participants in God’s Creation.
