Spill the Tea: Workplace Inclusion

Robertson-Wesley United Church and Kirk Centre present: “Spill The Tea: Readings from the 2SLGBTQIA+ Human Library”

Each month a different subject matter expert presents on a given topic within the 2SLGBTQIA+ experience that they have intimate knowledge of. Afterwards there will be ample time to ask the speaker questions on that subject, followed by table conversations and refreshments.

Maybe there are things you don't feel comfortable asking just a random person or loved one, or have an awkward or sensitive question? All are encouraged. This will be a safe place for genuine curiosity and compassionate learning. No need to identify as queer, or even know anyone who identifies as 2SLGBTQIA, to want to improve your allyship and awareness of the community. This is family friendly and all ages are welcome to participate. ASL interpretation included.

Other topics covered:

  • Gender Creative Parenting (March 13)

  • Intersex Life (April 10)

  • Asexuality (May 8)

The Library is Open

A new learning series: “Spill The T: Readings from the 2SLGBTQIA+ Human Library” is coming to Robertson-Wesley this spring. In partnership with Kirk Centre, it will be held on the second Friday evenings in March, April and May (with potential for more). What is it? Each month a different subject matter expert will present on a given topic within the 2SLGBTQIA+ experience that they have intimate knowledge of. Afterwards there will be ample time for the audience to ask questions of the speaker on that subject, followed by table conversations over refreshments.
