Restores my soul through truth and action. Today’s scriptures invite us to consider what our issue is with control. Why is it that so many of us don’t like the feeling of being out of control? Why is it that so many of us feel that life would be better if we were in control? Has our individualism and sense of independence left us isolated from the love of God. Do our actions reflect our heart? Do our actions reflect what we believe and love? What do we fear, if God is our shepherd? What will be gain by joining the flock? Let us take time to explore and come to a renewed understanding of what it means to be a sheep and to love not in word and speech, but in truth and action, and through this process have our souls restored.
