Women's Weekend 2008If you are interested in helping plan the 2008 Women's Weekend, come to a brief meeting today after service in Room 3. The weekend will be Sept. 19th, 20th, and 21st, 2008. Contact Jill Lambie at 962-4283 for more information.
Sanctuary CommunionFeb. 24th is our next Communion Service (Intinction). Servers are required. Please see the sign up sheet in Memorial Hall.
Hospitality Hour (08 Feb 3)A new fellowship ctte is needed, as Ozzie and Heather Gildart, who have had the responsibility for the past two years, are leaving the province in April, 2008.
Affirming Ministries (08 Jan 13)Affirming Ministries are local congregations and other United Church ministries which seek to respond to the Goslep with a ministry of welcome and inclusion of all God's people, including lesbians, bisexuals, gay men and transgender persons. Here at Robertson-Wesley, our statement of welcome and inclusion is an excellent beginning for becoming an Affirming Ministry in the United Church of Canada. If you are interested in joining a team to help our congregation further explore this process, please contact the church office. Transcribing Sermons (08 Jan 13)Someone is needed to transcribe the sermons from a digital audio file (all you need is a computer). The typed text is printed and copied for distribution the following week and posted to our website. It takes about an hour a week.
Kids' Church (08 Jan 6)We are in need of folks willing to facilitate Kids' Church activities. Each rotation is only 3 weeks and a detailed curriculum is provided. Please contact the church office if you would like to share your gifts in this way. |
